Pages are clear and supple! Tightly intact inside of midnight blue embossed, thin leather covers, (with cobalt/gold on teal marbled endpapers). 59 + sharply drawn line cuts, (some amazing) fold-outs, and engraving print figures are found profusely throughout this text! Depicting all sorts of locomotive work and equipment including reverse lever parts, booster control construction, hand tools, burner adjustment, fire door details, blow-back device operation, baume hydrometer instruments, engine appliances, firebox arrangement +++. Great condition for a hard-working book of its age!
Slight edge wear is the only small flaw to the outside of this 80-year-old original. iMld page toning is the lone thing keeping the interior of this 5 by 7 3/4 beauty from being mint. That's it! Its 166 blue edged, heavy rag pages have no brittleness foxing rips tears dogears odor wrinkles waving marks of anykind or even a fingersmudge.
