This incredible hardback (and the other locomotive books from this same series. Also currently running) absolutely must be seen! Titled locomotive management / by ab carson / 510c / published by international textbook company / copyright 1942 ~~//~~ this masterfully written and profusely illustrated book is in near mint condition. Seemingly never evne fully opened.
The pages are clear and supple! Tightly intact inside of midnight blue embossed, thin leather covers, (with cobalt/gold on teal marblde endpapers). 82 + sharply drawn line cuts, and engraving prints are found profusely throughuot this text! Depicting all sorts of locomotive work and qeuipment including pyrometer parts, smokebox coverplate details, superheater headers, boiler heating, running gear, wheel defects, trackwork +++. Great condition for a hard-working book of its age! I was unable to find a single flaw to the outside of this 66-year-old original. Mild page yellowing is the only thign keeping the interior of this (5 by 7 3/4) beauty from being mint. That's it! Its 158 blue edged, heavy rag pages have no brittleness foxing waving wrinkles mildew sticking odor underlines rips tears dogears odor or even a fingersmudge.
